Soccer: PHU puts away Largo with ease
The Hurricanes stay perfect with the district victory.

LARGO - Largo had plenty of reasons to feel good coming into Wednesday's match with Palm Harbor University. The Packers were a penalty kick from reaching the playoffs last year and already had a win against Countryside under their belts this season.
On Wednesday, the Hurricanes reminded the Packers how far they still have to go.
PHU (3-0) staked a three-goal halftime lead and cruised from there, defeating the Packers (2-1) 4-1 in a district match.
"We knew coming into this game that they were kind of an up-and-coming team and it would be a fight," first-year PHU coach Alex Delgado said. "We had to come out strong and show who was boss."
PHU did that with a relentless attack during the first 20 minutes. After banging one off the post, PHU's Ishmail Kamara put a Zac Daulton cross into the back of the net in the 18th minute. Two minutes later, Ben Sweat's run drew a penalty in the box and Mike Jauch converted the kick for a 2-0 lead.
"That was our plan," Delgado said. "Come out strong and set the tone."
Andrew Smith then connected on the prettiest goal of the night, a left-footed laser from about 30 yards that found the upper left corner of goal.
"I took one touch and no one was around me," Smith said.
Luis Marroquin cut the lead to 3-1 five minutes into the second half but PJ McDonald put the match away 10 minutes later on a Kamara feed.
