Virtual trip to Africa: "World Vision Experience: AIDS" will visit Van Dyke United Methodist Church this weekend. This multimedia, interactive exhibit allows Americans to step into the lives of children affected by HIV and AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa, where about 25-million people are infected with HIV. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday; 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday; and 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday at 17030 Lakeshore Road. Call (813) 767-5438.

Gala: The Tampa Bay Committee to Bless Israel will host A Gala Event to Bless Israel from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Banyanihan Arts and Events Center, 14301 Nine Eagles Drive. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of an ambulance to be used in Israel. The event will feature speakers Ofer Bavley, Miami's consul general of Israel; and Norman Gross, president of an organization called Primer. House of Prayer Church events: House of Prayer Church, 710 Crenshaw Lake Road, offers a membership class at 1:30 p.m. on the first three Sundays of each month. Lunch and child care are provided.
