LAND O'LAKES - A two-story home in the Caliente nudist resort caught fire Friday afternoon. It took 27 firefighters 90 minutes to extinguish the three-alarm blaze. It was unclear if the home at 21140 Los Cabos Court was occupied at the time, officials said, but they do not believe anyone was injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Friday afternoon the air was cool and residents of the nudist resort, clad in sweatshirts and pants, watched as the home burned. From the road, it appeared that the fire damaged the roof and garage. The heat had blown out several of the home's windows. Fire officials say the house had an elevator and there was a RV parked in the garage. They were unsure where the fire started. Times staff photographer Stephen J. Coddington contributed to this report. Helen Anne Travis can be reached at 352 521-6518 or htravis@sptimes.com.
