Osceola running back too much for Plant City KISSIMMEE - The Kowboys disposed of the visiting Raiders in the Class 5A region quarterfinals behind an outstanding performance from running back Bubba Brown, who had 151 yards on 19 carries and scored three times. The Kowboys jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead in the first quarter, and the Raiders made it 14-3 with a 40-yard field goal from John Dupree late in the second quarter. But Brown had a 60-yard touchdown just before halftime to give the Kowboys a 21-3 lead. The loss ended the season for the Raiders (5-6). The Kowboys (11-0) host a much-anticipated rematch against Lakeland at 7:30 p.m. Friday - the Kowboys recently ended the Dreadnaughts' 53-game winning streak.
