Florida in World War II traveling exhibit: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Hernando County Government Center, 20 N Main St., Brooksville. The exhibit, made available by the Museum of Florida History, presents an overview of the war years in Florida history. Topics include the home front, military training in Florida, the German U-boat threat and Floridians in military service. The exhibit will be on display through January. This is a true story of Chris Gardner, a struggling salesman played by Will Smith, who takes custody of his son (Jaden Smith) as he is poised to begin a life-changing internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm. Sertoma Youth Ranch Thanksgiving Bluegrass Festival: 3:30 to 10 p.m., Myers Road, south of Spring Lake. Performers include Marty Raybon, Shane Bartley and Lexington, Gold Wing Express, the James King Band, Tim Graves and Cherokee and others. The festival continues through Sunday. Seven Sistaz Inc. of Spring Hill host free Thanksgiving dinner: 1 to 4:30 p.m., Community Activity Center, 205 E Fort Dade Ave., Brooksville. The event is for homeless and disadvantaged youth and families in the Brooksville/Spring Hill area. Hot meals will be served.
