Here is a list of closings Thursday and Friday for south Pinellas County.
Federal offices: Closed Thursday.
State offices: Closed Thursday and Friday.
County offices: Closed Thursday and Friday.
City offices: Closed Thursday and Friday. South Pasadena offices will close at noon Wednesday.
Post offices: Closed Thursday.
PSTA and DART: Holiday schedule Thursday.
Banks: Closed Thursday.
Courts: Not in session Thursday and Friday.
Schools: Closed all week.
Libraries: St. Pete Beach Library will be closed Thursday through Saturday. All other libraries will be closed Thursday and Friday. Gulfport and St. Pete Beach libraries will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Garbage pickup: In Gulfport, Indian Rocks Beach, Madeira Beach, St. Petersburg and Treasure Island, regular Thursday pickup will be Wednesday. In South Pasadena, Thursday pickup will be on Friday. In all other cities, Thursday pickups will be on the next scheduled pickup day. Residents who contract independently with Waste Services of Florida (572-6800), Waste Management (572-8779) or another company should call the company for holiday schedule information.
Other closings: Facilities closed Thursday and Friday include the Coliseum box office and business offices, Progress Energy Center, Enoch Davis Center, Business Assistance Center, Municipal Services Center, St. Petersburg Police Community Resource Centers, St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue headquarters, City Utility Payment Center, Parking Citation Payment Office, Port of St. Petersburg administrative offices, Albert Whitted Airport administrative offices, Recreation and Parks administrative offices, recreation and adult centers, the Sunshine Center, and Sunken Gardens business offices.
Facilities closed Thursday and open Friday include Boyd Hill Nature Park, the Municipal Marina, Sunken Gardens, North Shore Pool and Sanitation Department Brush Sites. The Coliseum will be closed Thursday and open for events Friday.
