Thanksgiving Day holiday closings

Government offices

All federal offices will be closed today.

All state and county agencies will be closed today and Friday.

City offices except police and fire departments will be closed today and Friday.

Courts

Federal courts will be closed today.

State courts will be today and Friday.

Buses and streetcars

HARTline, HARTplus and TECO Line Streetcar will not have service today.

Shopping malls

All area shopping malls will be closed today.

Garbage collection

Tampa commercial, residential and recycling will not have collection today. Routes will run one day late through Saturday. The McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scalehouse and South Manhattan Brush Site will be closed today.

The Temple Terrace Public Works Department offices will be closed today and Friday. There will be no residential garbage collection or curbside recycling collection. Commercial garbage collection will not be affected by the holiday.

The Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management Department will not have collection today. Residents may set out twice as much trash on the next scheduled pickup day.

Utilities

Verizon customer service repair will be open. Verizon Plus stores will be closed today and Friday. Verizon Wireless stores will be closed today.

Tampa Electric offices will be closed today and Friday.

People's Gas offices will be closed today and Friday.

Post offices, mail delivery

All post offices will be closed today. There will be no mail delivery.

Schools

All Hillsborough County public schools will be closed today and Friday.

Hillsborough Community College, the University of South Florida and the University of Tampa will be closed today and Friday.

Libraries

All public libraries will be closed today and Friday.

Banks

All banks will be closed today.

Attractions, museums

The Tampa Museum of Art, the Florida Aquarium and Lowry Park Zoo will be closed today.

Busch Gardens will be open today 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and open Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Recreation

Ben T. Davis and Picnic Island Beach will be open today and Friday.

The Sandra W. Freedman Tennis Complex and HCC Tennis Complex will be closed today and open Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bobby Hicks Pool, Spicola Pool, Copeland Pool, Sulphur Springs Pool, Interbay Pool, Loretta Ingram Pool and Delrio Pool will be closed today and Friday.

Community centers and art studios will be closed today and Friday.

Hillsborough County Recreation Department: All recreation centers and playgrounds will be closed today and Friday.

Regional parks: All parks will be open today and Friday.
