Second store sells winning fantasy 5 ticket

SPRING HILL
One of the three winning Fantasy 5 tickets in Thursday night's drawing was sold at the Cumberland Farms store at 5244 Mariner Blvd. The jackpot was $181,152.21, meaning each winner will receive $60,384.07. The two other winning tickets were sold in Miami. The winning numbers were 1, 10, 12, 18 and 21. It's the second winning Fantasy 5 ticket from Spring Hill in a week. The RaceTrac station at 9410 Cortez Blvd. sold one of two winning tickets - each worth $112,179 - in Monday's drawing.
Angels on High deadline is today
Today is the deadline to reserve a spot along the angel path for the Spring Hill Community Association's annual Angels on High event, Dec. 13-16 on the Lake House grounds, 1202 Kenlake Ave. Those interested may decorate an angel for the outdoor display and contest; there is no cost to enter. The association also is in need of a snow sponsor and other sponsors. This year's Angels on High will include a tree-lighting each night, entertainment, baked goods and, possibly, real snow. Flag football signup extended
Registration has been extended to Dec. 1 for the Goin' Deep Flag Football 4 Kids program, which will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays at the fields next to the Jerome Brown Community Center in Tom Varn Park, 301 Darby Lane. The program is for boys and girls in grades 1-8. Cost is $50 for the 10-week program. Call 544-5498.

Coast Guard group seeks members
The Coast Guard Auxiliary is seeking new members. The group will present "Who We Are and What We Do" from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the auxiliary facility, 4340 Calienta St. Admission is free. The auxiliary is a uniformed civilian volunteer component of the Coast Guard. Members conduct safety patrols and search and rescue missions, assist the Coast Guard with homeland security duties, teach boating safety classes, conduct free vessel safety checks and perform other activities.
