Jose Suarez knew what he faced. "I need a new job now," said Suarez, after 14 years cooking at Four Coins restaurant in St. Petersburg.

Suarez held his son, Diego Majarrez, 4, as he and others watched firefighters battle flames throughout the building. Lt. Rick Feinberg said the fire began in a storage room and traveled into the attic, causing an estimated $1-million in damage in all. No one was injured.

The restaurant was bought two months ago by Zamira Vallejo and her father Joseph Vallejo.
