Oldsmar's current mayor apparently has not offered to dress up like the sugar plum fairy, as Mayor Emeritus Jerry Beverland once did to spur fundraising. But Mayors Jim Ronecker of Oldsmar and Andy Steingold of Safety Harbor will be wearing aprons at the Annual Mayor's Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 10 at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, 105 N Bayshore Drive. The mayors will serve tables at the buffet before addressing the group. The breakfast provides funds for food and gifts for Oldsmar and Safety Harbor families in need. Tickets are $25 for individuals and $250 for an entire table. Donations of decorated holiday trees, to be raffled, and unwrapped, new toys are welcome. Fire Rescue to host Santa open house

The annual Oldsmar Fire Rescue open house with Santa will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the station, 225 Pine Ave. N. Visit with Santa, help decorate the tree, climb in the antique fire truck, take a hay ride and have some refreshments. It's all free. Call (813) 749-1200.

Regional chamber seminar is Dec. 14

"Human Resources Issues," the last Upper Tampa Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce small business education seminar this year, will be 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 14 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 4052 Tampa Road. Students plan madrigal dinner

Step back in time, visit a castle and listen to some real Yuletide carols. The East Lake High School chorus and drama classes present "An Enchanted Evening," the annual madrigal dinner and show from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday on the auditorium stage at the high school, 1300 Silver Eagle Drive. Dinner includes wassail, spring salad, chicken stew in white wine cream sauce, apple pie and beverages. Torture is topicof rabbi's program

Clubs celebrate with luncheons

Two clubs will have luncheons at the East Lake Woodlands Country Club, 1055 East Lake Woodlands Parkway, in early December and guests are welcome.
