Acting role opens up on trolley tour

DADE CITY
The Dade City Trolley Tour will hold open auditions for a male lead role from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Dade City Business Center. Visitors along the trolley route through downtown are treated to short skits involving colorful characters from the past. The role of Johnny, a young man home from the war in 1940s Dade City, was previously played by a 23-year-old Tampa actor, Tyson Savonetti, who was recently cast in a lead role with the World of Disney in Manhattan. Actors between ages 18 and 26 are invited to audition for the role of Johnny with a 3- to 5-minute script. Reindeer Run and Walk helps Habitat
The Lake Jovita 5K Reindeer Run/Walk is set for 8 a.m. Dec. 15 at 12980 Lake Jovita Blvd. in Dade City. The cost is $20 in advance or $25 the day of the race. Proceeds benefit the East Pasco Habitat for Humanity. Call (352) 588-2333, ext. 316.

Helping the Elderly with Legal Problems offers legal assistance to people 60 and older who are residents of Pasco County. Thirty-minute appointments begin at 1 p.m. on the following dates and locations: Dec. 13 and Dec. 27 at CARES Claude Pepper Senior Center, 6640 Van Buren St., New Port Richey.
