Holes-in-One

Pete Myers aced the No. 16 hole at Hernando Oak Golf Club in Brooksville recently using a 6 iron. The hole was 130 yards long. He was playing as a member of the Pasco County Seniors Golf League.

Connie Johnston aced the 11th hole at Heritage Springs Golf Course in Trinity on Oct. 29. She used an 11 wood to ace her second hole-in-one on her home course.

Double up: Two golfers notched holes-in-one during the Link's Saturday Shootout on Nov. 17.

Jerry Quinn aced hole 11, which is 132 yards long. Earl Decima aced No. 13, which is 165 yards long.

League play

Dollie Crocker, Betty Allen, Bill Gothe and Chris Reid scored 53 for the low team score in recent Belles & Beaus League play. Peggy Parker was closest to the pin among women, while Charlie Beckett was closest among men.

The league is held every Wednesday from 8:45 a.m. to noon at Quarry Golf Course in Brooksville. The cost is $10 for members and $20 for nonmembers, which includes lunch, prizes, 18 holes of golf with a cart in the scramble format-blind draw league. Call 352 544-5485 for information.

Tournaments

Dec. 8: A golf tournament to support the Lutz Leaguerettes softball program will be held Dec. 8 at Heritage Harbor on Lutz-Lake Fern Road. There will be a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Dec. 10: The First Tee of Brooksville and the Major League Players Association will host a Swing with the Legends charity golf tournament at Brooksville Country Club. Cost is $300 per golfer and $1,000 per foursome.
