Dennis Bodiker uses a sandwedge to demonstrate chipping technique. Stance is important. Keep your feet shoulder-width apart.

The goal: Improve your chipping.
The tip: Dennis Bodiker, the head golf professional at Hidden Creek Golf Club in Zephyrhills, says to focus on your wrists. Ideally, a golfer wants the back of his left hand to point to the sky. If your backhand isn't pointing up, then your swing is breaking down.
"You don't want to flip your wrist," Bodiker said. Instead, use your shoulders to move the club. The tip, which works from any distance, will help improve your consistency with the height and distance of the ball.
Lefty? Just reverse this tip. Check your right hand to make sure it's facing the sky.
