NOTEWORTHY: Jason Richko of Trinity was recognized by Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd.

Richko, a 35-year-old resort property manager, won the 2007 U.S. Amateur Championship by defeating former champion Robert Hall of Huntsville, Ala., 11-7. Richko qualified to compete in the 2008 U.S. Open 9-Ball Pro Championship.

Tennis clinic: Saturday tennis clinics will be held in December and January at Quail Ridge Golf and Country Club.

Ages 7 and older will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.; ages 4, 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Cost is $11 or $28 for lessons for 9 a.m. class; $5.50 for a half hour or $14 for three lessons for the 10 a.m. class.

5K run: The Lake Jovita 5K Reindeer Run will be Dec. 15 at 8 a.m., starting at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club. Cost is $20 before race day and $25 on race day.
