Several roads will close for holiday parade

BROOKSVILLE
These roads will be closed from 10 a.m. to about noon Saturday for the annual Brooksville Christmas Parade: Howell Avenue, Main Street, Bell Avenue, Fort Dade Avenue, Jefferson Street, N Broad Street, Oakwood Drive and Oak Street. Also, E Fort Dade Avenue, from Main Street/Howell Avenue to Magnolia Avenue will be closed from 4 to 8 p.m. for the Bandshell Bash and Brooksville Cruise-In Car Show. For information, call 544-5407.
Arts, crafts show at fairgrounds
An Arts and Crafts Show the benefit the New Hope Foundation will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 S Broad St. Food will be available. The Humane Society of the Nature Coast also will be on hand. Admission is $3; children 12 and younger admitted free. There will be a Christmas tree on the stage with a wish list of toys wanted by three needy families. Donations of canned and boxed food also will be accepted. For information, call 442-0616.
SPRING HILL
Breakfast with Santa at YMCA
The Hernando County Family YMCA, 1300 Mariner Blvd., will host a Breakfast with Santa from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 15. A Santa's Workshop will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The breakfast is sponsored by IHOP and Santa's Workshop is sponsored by Lowe's and the Home Depot. There will be games, activities, face painting and pictures with Santa. All ages are welcome. The cost is $3 per person; ages 2 and younger are free. Those wishing to attend must register by Monday. Call 688-9622.
