Notable: The Seminoles are in the national semifinals for the third straight year and fourth time in the past five years, a feat that only UCLA (five trips to the Cup since 2003) has bettered. Despite dominating play for much of the game, FSU fell behind 2-0 and lost to Notre Dame 2-1 in the semifinals last year. Said senior defender Libby Gianeskis, the former Tarpon Springs standout: "It's good to get a second chance at them." The Irishuse size and strength and play the ball over the top; FSU uses speed and savvy to build the attack on the ground. The winner draws the survivor of USC-UCLA on Sunday.
