Four teens injured after car runs red light

SPRING HILL - Four teenagers were injured Thursday night when their car ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Amanda Pappert, 16, of Spring Hill drove a car with three passengers - Megan Baily, 16, Ronnie Parrott, 15, and Grant Aleo, 15. Witnesses told the FHP that Pappert's car ran a red light at California Street and Powell Road, where it collided with a car driven by Mary Labarr, 56, of Spring Hill.
None of the teens were wearing seat belts and they were transported to a hospital, according to the FHP. Labarr was not injured.
Brooksville man jailed on drug, gun charges
BROOKSVILLE - A 27-year-old Brooksville man was arrested Thursday on drug and weapon charges.
Antiquan Byrd is charged with trafficking crack cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Detectives found 50.2 grams of crack cocaine, 40.1 grams of marijuana, a .22-caliber revolver, drug paraphernalia and more than $4,000 cash inside his home. Byrd was taken to the County Jail, his bond set at $65,500.
