Just when you were wondering how bad things could go for Jessica Sierra, TMZ.com reports that a porn company has obtained a sex tape of the former American Idol runnerup and is preparing to distribute it. Sierra, who was arrested in Ybor City last weekend in a public spectacle that included her spewing racial epithets and an offer to perform oral sex on a police officer, is shown in various sexual poses in a cheap hotel room, the gossip Web site reports. The tape is supposed to be released by the end of the year. Defense attorney John Fitzgibbons said he's heard rumors about a sex tape but hasn't seen it. "I haven't talked to Jessica about it," he said. "Nothing surprises me in this case. She's profoundly ill."
Child crushed under float in Christmas parade
A child was killed by a float during Plant City's annual Christmas parade, the Ledger of Lakeland reported. The child was somehow crushed beneath a float during the event, which began at 6:30 p.m. Friday and wound from Alsobrook and Collins streets north to the Plant City Courthouse. Police have not yet released any information about the victim or the circumstances of the death.

Who can you believe these days? Noted hurricane forecaster William Gray predicted Friday that 13 tropical storms would form next year in the Atlantic basin, with seven becoming hurricanes and three of those reaching "major" status of 111 mph or more. Gray's projections and those of other experts have significantly missed the mark the past three years. But Gray of Colorado State University believes an active cycle of hurricanes will continue at least two more years. On the bright side, hurricane season is still seven months away.
