Kickboxing is one of the many fitness programs offered by the YMCA of the Suncoast in Pasco County. It's a fitness regimen that blends elements of boxing and martial arts with a high-energy aerobics workout. The class at the James P. Gills branch is great for both young and old, according to instructor Julie Fillingim. "You're not limited by age. It's from teens all the way up," she said. YMCA member Kimberly Gaus says of Fillingim: "She's a complete motivator. She makes you feel like she's coaching you one on one, when there's actually 45 people." Says Fillingim: "Kickboxing is my passion. You get a full body workout. You get cardio and toning, and it's just a lot of fun." For more information on the class, please contact the James P. Gills branch of the YMCA of the Suncoast at: (727) 375-9622.
