Ameriwood entertainment centers

Company: Ameriwood Industries Inc.

Why? The entertainment centers can collapse if the back panel is not secure, posing a risk of death or serious injury.

What models? The entertainment centers are black with two lower miter-framed doors, two glass doors at the top and CD storage racks. They measure about 54 inches wide, 71 inches high and 20 inches deep. They were sold under the Ridgewood/Charleswood brand name. Model number 93956 is printed on the instruction manual.

Where sold? Mass merchandisers, including K-Mart.

Ford trucks

Company: Ford Motor Co.

Why? An engine sensor could function intermittently and lead to engine stalling.

What models? 1997-2003 model years with 7.3-liter diesel engines, including the Ford E-Series van, Excursion full-size sport utility vehicle, and F-450 Super Duty and F-550 Super Duty trucks.

Where sold? Ford dealers.

Old Navy Performance fleece-lined boys' jackets

Company: Old Navy LLC.

Why? The jackets have a waist drawstring with a toggle that could become snagged or caught in small spaces or doorways, which can pose an entrapment hazard to children.

What models? The performance fleece-lined shell jackets are hooded, zip in the front and have a drawstring at the waist. The jackets were sold in black or blue in multiple children's sizes. "Old Navy" is printed on a label at the neck. Style number 507907 is printed on a white label sewn into the side seam of the jacket.

Where sold? Old Navy stores and www.oldnavy.com.

What to do? Return the jackets to any Old Navy store or contact Old Navy for instructions on returning the jacket for a refund. Or visit www.oldnavy.com for instructions on properly removing the drawstring.

Boys' hooded sweatshirts

Company: Scope Apparel L.P.

Why? The garments have a drawstring through the hood that can pose a strangulation hazard to children.

What models? The boys' small- and medium-sized hooded zip-up sweatshirts have various designs on the front and were sold in charcoal, navy blue and brown colors. "Whatever" and "RN#39209" are printed on the tag sewn into the jacket.

Where sold? Mass merchandise and specialty children's clothing retailers.

Basic Editions-brand girls' clothing sets

Company: Millennium Apparel Group.

Why? The recalled pants have a drawstring at the waist that can pose an entrapment or entanglement hazard to children.

What models? The recalled two-piece clothing set has olive-colored knit pants with a fully-tunneled waist drawstring and a pink short-sleeved top with necktie. The set was sold in these girls' sizes: 4/5, 6/6X, 7/8 and 10/12.

Where sold? Kmart stores.

TKS-brand children's pants

Company: E.S. Sutton Inc.

Why? The recalled pants have a ribbon belt at the waist that can pose an entrapment or entanglement hazard to children.

What models? Two models: the first model numbers 62240 and 62254 is denim with a brown ribbon belt on the waistband. These pants have a sewn-on patch and an embroidered butterfly. They were sold in infant sizes 12 months, 18 months and 24 months and toddler sizes 2T, 3T and 4T. The second (model number 62226) is khaki with a fabric belt on the waistband. They have two cargo pockets, one with an embroidered heart. The cuffs have buttons and plaid trim on the underside. They were sold in toddler sizes 2T, 3T and 4T.

Where sold? Sears stores.

Personal Identity-brand V-neck sweaters with hood

Company: A & R Knitwear.

Why? The sweaters have a drawstring through the hood, posing a strangulation hazard to children.

What models? The sweaters have a V-neck, hood and kangaroo pocket and are pink with charcoal stripes or blue with white stripes. They were sold in these girls' sizes: small, medium, large and extra large.

Where sold? Sears stores.

The First Years newborn-to-toddler reclining feeding seats

Company: RC2 Corp.

Why? The restraining straps can pull out of the waist strap slots, posing a fall hazard to young children.

What models? The seat includes a tray, reversible cushion and a three-point safety belt. One side of the seat cushion has a sewn-in label at the top that says "the first years by Learning Curve." This recall includes all feeding seats except those with an "R" stamped inside a raised circle on the far left and right of the back of the seatback or those with waist strap slots that are 9 inches apart.

Starbucks Fusion coffee mugs
Company: Starbucks Coffee Co.
Why? The plastic handle can detach from the body of the mug when filled with hot liquids, posing a minor burn hazard to consumers.
What models?: Two styles of Starbucks 14-ounce Fusion Coffee Mugs that are white and have a black plastic handle and a stainless steel base. The cups have “Starbucks Coffee” printed on a black stamp or a brown original Starbucks logo stamp.
Where sold?: Mugs with the “Starbucks Coffee” stamp were sold at Starbucks stores nationwide.

Bowflex Ultimate 2 home gyms
Company: Nautilus Inc.
Why?: The fasteners used to secure the rod box to the frame of the equipment can come loose, allowing the resistance rods or rod box to separate and strike the user or a bystander.
What models?: The gyms are equipped with pulleys, resistance rods and other equipment that allow the user to perform a variety of exercises. “Bowflex Ultimate 2” is written on the vertical part of the frame.
Where sold?: Specialty fitness retailers nationwide and through direct sales.

Tennessee Aged cheeses
Company: Sweetwater Valley Farms.
Why?: The products have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
What models?: Tennessee Aged southern sharp cheddar cheese (yellow) and Tennessee Aged southern mild cheddar cheese (yellow), Lot No. 604 distributed in 7-, 10-, and 15-ounce bars.
Where sold?: Nationwide, online.

GE built-in combination wall and microwave ovens
Company: GE Consumer & Industrial.
Why?: The door switch in the microwave oven can overheat and ignite plastic components in the control area, posing a fire hazard.
What models?: GE combination microwave and conventional built-in wall ovens sold under the following brand names: GE, GE Profile and Kenmore. The ovens were sold in white, black, bisque and stainless steel. The brand name is printed on the lower left corner on the front of the microwave door. Soma Metromint flavor water
Company: Soma Beverage.
Why?: The products may be contaminated with Bacillus cereus.
What models?: The products were packaged in plastic 16.9-ounce bottles. The recalled products can be identified by the “Best Before” date found on the shoulder of the bottle. All Metromint recalled products (Peppermint, Spearmint, Orangemint, and Lemonmint) with “Best Before” dates before 2008/12/21, produced at the Californian facility, are affected by this recall. Products produced in the California facility have the lettering “KSA” in a rectangle located on the lower right-hand corner of the back panel on the label.
Where sold?: The products were distributed nationwide to grocery stores and sold on the Internet.
What to do?: Discard it or return it to the point of purchase. Call the company at 1-415-979-0781 Ext. 101.

Black & Decker Infrawave toasters
Company: Applica Consumer Products Inc.
Why?: An electrical component in the toaster can overheat and ignite the circuit board, posing a fire hazard.
What models?: The two-slice toaster is black with stainless steel trim and has a digital display below the toaster lever. The Black & Decker brand name is on the top of the toaster. Model number ST2000 is printed on the rating plate on the bottom of the toaster.

Why?: The surface paint on the bags contains high levels of lead.

Nordic Track and Reebok inversion benches

Why?: The ankle clamp mechanism can release unexpectedly, posing a fall hazard.
What models?: The Nordic Track bench is model number 831.14595.0 and the Reebok bench is model number RBBE1996.0. The model number is located under the seat of the bench.
Where sold?: Sporting goods stores nationwide.

Why?: Surface paints on the recalled helmets contain excessive levels of lead.

Company: The Home Depot.
Why?: Surface paint on the holiday figurines contains lead.
What models?: The recalled holiday figurines are painted plastic snowmen and bears. The SKU number is printed on the bottom of the product. The product, size, SKU number: Holiday Bear Door Greeter, 17 x 16 inches, 894-825; Snowman with “Let it Snow” Sign Tabletop, item 894-893; Three Snowmen with “Joy” Sign, 13 x 17 inches, 898-964; Snowman Votive Holder, 7.5 by 7.5 inches,  967-467.
