Pet of the week: Comet

Special to the Times Comet is a 4-year-old male cat. He is calm, easygoing and likes being petted. Inquiries about adopting Comet and other pets may be made at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Hernando County, 9075 Grant St., west of Brooksville. The shelter is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays (closed on holidays and Sundays). Adoption fees vary and include rabies shot, heartworm testing, worming and spaying/neutering.
