Children can go to camp in the winter too

LAND O'LAKES

The Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department and the Land O'Lakes Recreation Complex will have a Winter Fun Camp for children ages 6-12 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 26-28 and Jan. 2-4. There will be sports, movies, games, arts and crafts and a field trip. Camps will be at the recreation complex, 3032 Collier Parkway in Land O'Lakes, and the cost is $25 per child each week. WESLEY CHAPEL

Kids can learn hoops lessons

Wesley Chapel High School will host a basketball camp over winter break from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 2-4 for boys and girls in grades six through eight. The camp is at the school, 30651 Wells Road, Wesley Chapel. Cost is $50. Call Warren Jones at (813) 794-8700.

Musician Debbie Myers performing

Recording artist Debbie Myers will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at the Gem Estates Mobile Home Village in Zephyrhills. Myers recently received top honors at the 2006-07 Maine Academy of Country Music Awards as Best Female Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year. She performs with her band Redneck Rodeo.
