Meals on Wheels/senior menus

Pasco County operates nine congregate dining sites that offer a nutritious meal and various program activities. There is no charge for these meals, but donations are requested. Additionally, Pasco County delivers meals to homes of frail elderly through two programs: The Elderly Nutrition Program meal is offered for a donation only. The Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $5 fee per meal. All meals include low-fat milk. Call to register. For information on any of these meal options or to volunteer, call (727) 834-3340 in west Pasco; (352) 521-5174 in east Pasco; or (813) 929-1231 in central Pasco.
Today: Turkey Creole casserole, yellow rice, green beans, whole wheat bread with margarine, diced pears.
Tuesday: Tomato soup, hamburger patty with ketchup, baked beans with tomato bits, fiesta corn, hamburger bun with margarine, applesauce.
Wednesday: Pasta primavera casserole, lemon spinach, carrot cuts, tossed salad with French dressing, whole wheat bread with margarine, diced peaches.
Thursday Birthday Celebration: Chicken breast coq au vin, garlic mashed potatoes, green peas, whole wheat bread with margarine. Congregate: birthday cake and ice cream. Home Delivery: birthday cake and pudding.
Friday: Swedish meatballs with brown gravy, wild rice au gratin, winter medley vegetables, whole wheat bread with margarine, diced mixed fruit.
