Lakeland resident identified in I-4 crash

DOVER
Troopers have identified a man killed early Saturday in a single-car crash on Interstate 4.
Christopher Carson, 32, of 929 Gilmore Ave. in Lakeland, died in the crash that happened at 3:10 a.m. near Dover, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say Carson was headed west in the center lane of the interstate when his 2002 Jeep sport utility vehicle veered off the north side of the road striking a concrete barrier wall, then veered into the center grass median and overturned several times.
Troopers say Carson was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Motorcyclist dies in U.S. 19 crash
A Brooksville woman died after being thrown from her motorcycle while driving Sunday evening on U.S. 19.
The Florida Highway Patrol identified the woman as Randi Lavikoff, 56, of Wildlife Lane in Brooksville. She and another motorcyclist, Linden Gates, 64, were northbound when James Brennan, 61, of Pennsylvania hit them. Gates suffered minor injuries and was taken to Oak Hill Hospital.
Brennan was charged with careless driving, reports state.

Port Richey woman killed in one-car wreck
A Port Richey woman was killed in a single-car crash along Interstate 275 early Monday, Florida Highway Patrol investigators said.
Tina M. Carbone, 29, 10927 Inglewood Ave., had been northbound on the interstate near mile marker 57 about 12:30 a.m. when she steered onto the shoulder, then swerved back into the lanes before losing control, sending the 1995 Buick LeSabre she was driving into a tree. Carbone was pronounced dead at the scene.
