Volunteers neededfor mentoring program

COUNTYWIDE

Gulf Coast Community Care needs volunteers ages 30 and older to spend a few hours a week mentoring a child 10 to 14 years old from a single parent home or in foster care.

No experience is necessary.

Mentoring time can be spent with simple activities such as reading, fishing, baking, teaching a craft or visiting a park. Call 479-1813 or 479-1841.

PINELLAS PARK

ESOL families to learn of high school choices

"Choosing Your High School," a presentation for English for Speakers of Other Languages middle school students and parents, will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Pinellas Park Middle School's media center, 6940 70th Ave. N.

Karalia Baldwin, Pinellas County Schools' guidance supervisor, will discuss the electronic personal education planner, success in high school and postsecondary opportunities.
