Sale of Storm set to become official today

He was born in New Jersey, attended film school at New York University, graduated from Georgetown's School of Medicine and started a spine institute in the Tampa Bay area.
Today, Robert Nucci will add another line to his resume when he is announced as the new owner of the Storm.
The orthopedic surgeon, 46, agreed this month to purchase the team from longtime owner Woody Kern for a reported $18.9-million. But a news conference at the St. Pete Times Forum was scheduled for today so officials, including Arena Football League commissioner David Baker, could attend.
Nucci, founder of the Nucci Spine Institute and a surgeon at University Community Hospital, has deferred comment until today. He has lived in the Tampa Bay area for the past 14 years and owns a condo within walking distance of the Times Forum in Tampa.
Kern, who purchased the team in 1994 for a reported $850,000, has spent his tenure commuting between Tampa and his home in Denton, Texas.
