CCC's Cochran earns honor
Clearwater Central Catholic's Anthony Cochran received the Mike June Courage Award during halftime of Wednesday's Pinellas All-Star Football Classic.
Cochran, a running back/linebacker, was there when his father died of a heart attack two years ago. Last spring, Cochran was involved in a car accident that killed East Lake's T.J. McPhee.
This season, Cochran and his Marauder teammates wore
McPhee's number on their helmets to honor him.
The Mike June Courage Award is named after the former Palm Harbor University football coach who died in 2006 after a long bout with leukemia.
