Now there's a pill for everything

The latest of the new cleaning products that come in the form of tablets you dissolve in water rather than bottles of liquid that are heavy to carry and costly to ship: effervescent Wonder Tablitz. They come in four formulas: glass and multisurface cleaner; all-purpose cleaner with bleach; citrus all-purpose cleaner; and fabric refresher and odor eliminator. Buy a spray bottle with three tablets for $5.99-$7.99. That's the equivalent of three 32-ounce bottles of cleaner. Refill packs of three tablets are $3.99-$5.99. Find them at Bed Bath & Beyond and Ace hardware stores.

Plan ahead for antiques show

Not to jump the gun here, but in the holiday rush you may want to mark the calendar. The 2007 Holiday Antique Show & Sale is coming up at the Municipal Auditorium, 801 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. Show hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 28 and 29; noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 30. More than 60 dealers: furniture, silver, porcelain, jewelry, crystal, paintings, the works.
