Help angels fulfill holiday wish lists

COUNTYWIDE
The Christmas Angel Program of Hernando County needs help to fulfill Christmas wish lists, particularly for teenagers. The organization has trees with wish lists for children from infancy through age 18 at Beall's Department Store, 13190 Cortez Blvd., and at the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 1485 Commercial Way, Spring Hill. The trees will be up through Monday. For information, call 596-1552.
BROOKSVILLE
Blood, marrow drive to help child
A blood and marrow registry drive to benefit an 8-year-old student at Brooksville Elementary School is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the school, 885 N Broad St. The LifeSouth bloodmobile will be on hand for those wishing to donate blood and join the National Marrow Register. Marrow eligibility will be determined at the time of blood donation. Donors will receive a gift and a cholesterol screening, and will be entered into a contest to win a 2008 Chevy Cobalt, courtesy of Palm Gainesville Chevrolet. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and show a valid photo ID. For information, call LifeSouth at 596-2002.

Baby shower to arrive Feb. 9
Exhibitors can now register for the 11th annual World's Greatest Baby Shower that will be Feb. 9 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 13485 Spring Hill Drive.
