Largo football team honored
The Largo City Council will present a key to the city to the Packers football players, coaches and staff tonight. Largo finished the regular season unbeaten for the first time in 30 seasons and advanced to the 5A state semifinals for the first time.
Cougar gets 6A all-state VB honor
Countryside outside hitter Madison Truluck was a first-team selection on the Class 6A all-state volleyball list released by the Florida Sports Writers Association.
Truluck, a junior, helped the Cougars finish 23-4 and advance to the Class 6A region quarterfinals.
Clearwater setter Channing Salava was named third-team in Class 5A. Salava was the Times' all-county player of the year. East Lake senior outside hitter Sara Rex was an honorable mention.

Boca Ciega's girls basketball team (11-0) matched its start from last season after last week's win against last season's state runnerup Clearwater, which was ranked No. 9 in Class 5A.
