Army National Guard Pfc. David L. Griffith, son of David Griffith and Lisa Griffith, both of Gulfport, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is a 2007 graduate of Boca Ciega High School.

Coast Guard Seaman Recruit James E. Ketcham III, son of Deborah A. and James E. Ketcham of Pinellas Park, has graduated from the Coast Guard Recruit Training Center, Cape May, N.J. He is a 2005 graduate of Dixie Hollins High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. Robert T. Rebmann, son of Bruce Rebmann of St. Petersburg, has graduated from Basic Combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

These recruits recently completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.:

- Navy Seaman Recruit Timothy R. Leary, son of Rita M. Penix and Timothy C. Leary, both of St. Petersburg, and a 2007 graduate of Northeast High School.

- Navy Seaman Recruit Jeffrey P. Morris, son of Jeffrey D. Morris of Seminole and April L. Aponte of Palm Harbor and a 2007 graduate of East Lake High School.

- Navy Seaman Matthew A. Simms, son of Cindy L. Davis of St. Petersburg and a 2004 graduate of St. Petersburg High School.
