Learn the best way to eat worms at library

SPRING HILL/RIDGE MANOR WEST The Hernando County Public Library System will show the movie How to Eat Fried Worms at two locations: - 2 p.m. Jan. 3, East Hernando Branch Library, 6457 Windmere Road, Ridge Manor West. - 2 p.m. Jan. 4, Spring Hill Branch/Harold G. Zopp Memorial Library, 9220 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill. During the first day of fifth grade, 11-year-old Billy squares off against a bully and winds up accepting a dare of eating 10 worms in one day. The 2006 film is rated PG and is based on the popular Thomas Rockwell book. After the movie, children will make their own dirt cake with gummy worms. The movie is free, with popcorn provided. Children may bring a beverage in a covered container. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Call 540-6391.
