Light up your holidays with a drive

Buckle in the kids and go cruising the streets for some cheap entertainment.

Clearwater

- 2720 Regency Oaks Blvd., "Virginia Lydon decorates a miniature, moving holiday village." 1-3 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, through Jan. 5.

- Christmas Holidays in Miniature, 1645 Eden Court. "Model railroad villages. Circus town with a merry-go-round and Ferris wheel. Old Towne featuring log cabins and vintage trains. St. Paul, Minn., with the Cathedral of St. Paul. Snow village and much more." 7-9 p.m. Wednesdays-Sundays through Jan. 2.

- 1718 Audrey Drive, Santa, reindeer, Christmas trees and inflatables. "The Christmas spirit is definitely in the air."

- 19029 U.S. 19 N, Building VIII, Huge reindeer and Santa suspended across the roof. Each unit bathed in twinkling lights. Shrubs, trees and doors framed in clear lights; lighted wreaths.

- 116 Maywood Ave., "Lots and lots of lights, inflatables, merry-go-round, snow globe, trains, figures and more."

- 1925 Beckett Lake Drive, "Six-house display, lighted walkway with animated figures through front and back yards, talking reindeer, dancing bears, merry-go-round, Ferris wheel. Lots of fun and Christmas spirit. Donations accepted for Kimberly Home Pregnancy Center."

- 831 Island Way, "We have about 30,000 lights outside. We won first place so many times. Island Estates put us in Hall of Fame."

- 2313 Hawthorne Drive, "We have thousands of lights, a complete nativity scene and Santa and his reindeer are taking flight."

- 1421 Turner St., "30,000 plus lights, 5-foot train runs in the front yard, forest with multiple trees, reindeer, several snowmen and penguins." 6-9 p.m. weekdays, 6-10 p.m. weekends.

Dunedin

171 Buena Vista Drive S, "Thousands of lights. Huge, wrapped palm trees. Massive waterfront home outlined in lights."

- Dunedin Historical Museum, 349 Main St. "Learn all about Santa Claus. A special historical holiday exhibit tracing the evolution of Santa as St. Nicholas from the second century up to the time of the jolly old man dressed in red and dashing off in his sleigh with eight tiny reindeer." Through Jan. 10.

- 800 block of Patricia Avenue, 900 block of Virginia Street. Heather Lakes condominium, "tastefully decorated buildings."

- 1430 Douglas Ave., "Thousands of lights, 8-foot blowups (some on the roof), lights connecting from the roof to our neighbor's house (1436 Douglas Ave.), light-up figures, sleigh and deer that travel up a 10-foot wire, merry-go-round blowup, front yard is completely filled."

Largo

- Sugar Creek Mobile Home Community, 10265 Ulmerton Road. 251 decorated mobile homes. "The park is decorated with 4-foot trees with white lights. Every house has one or more trees. The clubhouse is also decorated."

- 8090 Dovehill Lane, "Two 6-foot evergreens with spiral lights in front. Reindeer with blinking nose on front lawn. Lighted tree with star on top. Front of house decorated. Lighted wreath around the entryway. Model train and lighted Santa face inside."

- 11201 122nd Ave. N, No. M250, "Completely dedicated to the reason for the season."

- The Lights of Lake Park Estates, 9701 109th Ave. "This neighborhood of 200-plus homes decorates for the holidays and accepts donations for charity. This year's display is dedicated to the memory of Eddie Dow, who led this neighborhood activity since the inception approximately 10 years ago."

- Florida Botanical Gardens, 12520 Ulmerton Road. "Pinewood Cultural Park is illuminated with more than 425,000 holiday lights." Through Jan. 3. Free.

- 10449 127th Ave., "Lots of lights with singing mice, nativity scene with star, merry-go-round, blow-ups, igloo, Santa on motorcycle, reindeer and Santa popups and more."

- 14172 Sharon Drive, "A yard and house full of holiday inflatables, lights and other Christmas cheer."

Oldsmar

- 611 and 613 Timber Bay Circle W, "Winter wonderland, toyland, 17 inflatables, snowmen, penguins, polar bears, deer and more."

Palm Harbor

- Winter Wonderland, 2456 Indian Trail W, "More than 30 Christmas trees, snowmen and lighted figures with falling snow. Indian Trails has more than 50 homes decorated to celebrate the magic of Christmas."

- 2449 Indian Trail W, "45,000 multicolored lights, Christmas village display, more than 50 houses."

Safety Harbor

- Tarpon Springs Sponge Tree, on Dodecanese Boulevard at the west end of the Sponge Docks. "A 9-foot lit tree decorated with hundreds of sponges."

- 378 Woodchuck Ave., "Front, side and back of house are covered in different types of lights dancing to music."
