The Montgomery Biscuits, the Double A team where Charlie Montoyo managed from 2004 to 2006, have established the Alexander Montoyo Fund to help with costs associated with his medical condition. The team will match donations up to $5,000. Donations can be made online at www.biscuitsbaseball.com. The team wanted to deliver the money next week, so donations will be accepted through Tuesday. The Tampa Bay Rays will also provide assistance to the Montoyo family in the coming months.
