Engle Homes office to relocate from Lutz
Engle Homes, which builds single-family homes from less than $200,000 in five Tampa Bay area communities, is relocating its division headquarters from Lutz to offices at Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club in San Antonio.
Joe Hennessy, president of Engle Homes in the Tampa Bay region, said the move is part of Engle's new corporate strategy to reduce its overhead and build more affordably priced homes. "More value, more green, and more affordable pricing is our motto," said Hennessy.
Metro snaps up home sites in Pasco
In the largest land purchase in company history, Metro Development Group of Tampa recently has acquired 8,300 home sites in seven Florida counties from Lennar Homes, one of the nation's largest home builders. The purchase price was not disclosed. Purchased in Pasco County is the Epperson Ranch, with 3,905 home sites on 1,700 acres.
Founded in 2003, Metro Development Group has been involved in developing nearly five dozen communities throughout Central Florida. Last year, the company generated sales of nearly $200-million. For information on Metro Development Group, visit www.MDGflorida.com.
Animal clinic gets AAHA accreditation
Bayonet Point Animal Clinic of Port Richey, 11823 Oak Trail Way, has again received accreditation following a comprehensive evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association. The evaluation includes a quality assessment review of the hospital's facility, medical equipment, practice methods and pet health care management. Only 15 percent of small-animal veterinary practices in the nation have achieved accreditation by the association. In order to maintain accredited status, Bayonet Point Animal Clinic must continue to be evaluated regularly by the association.
