Coach of the Year

Bob Henriquez, Tampa Catholic

Somewhere around TC's campus, a white horse must be grazing. We're presuming that's the mode of transportation Henriquez employed to ride in and rescue his floundering alma mater. In the five seasons before Henriquez returned for his second stint as Crusaders coach in late December 2004, TC had won eight total games. Since then, it hasaveraged more than eight wins, including this year's 11-3 season that ended with the program's first state finals berth.
