High school has reunion for all its class years

ST. PETERSBURG

St. Petersburg High School's All-Years Reunion will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, 11 Central Ave.

The event will feature a disc jockey, cash bar and food.

It is open to the public and is not limited to St. Petersburg High School graduates.

Admission is $10 and is payable at the event.

Nominate outstanding female volunteers

The Queen's Court, which raises money for charities through its Queen of Hearts Ball, is accepting nominations for outstanding female community volunteers through Jan. 5.

Names submitted must be sponsored by guilds, auxiliaries or other support groups of nonprofit organizations.

The court also is receiving applications from organizations that serve the St. Petersburg area to receive grants from the 2009 event.

To be eligible, charities must be listed under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code.

Applications may be obtained by calling 576-7999.

The submission deadline is Feb. 1.
