19-year-old dies in crash Sunday morning
By Times Staff Writer
Published December 26, 2007
A young man was killed early Sunday in a single vehicle crash on Indian Rocks Road. Largo police said Timothy John Rousonelos, 19, was driving a green Kia northbound shortly after 4 a.m. Witnesses said the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle left the roadway in the 12000 block of Indian Rocks Road and hit a vinyl fence, police said. It then spun, police said, and the driver's side struck a Progress Energy utility pole, cutting it in half. The vehicle then began to flip end over end, police said, before striking a parked car and coming to rest against a tree on its driver's side. Rousonelos was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said Rousonelos' family in Belleair had been notified of his death and that the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
