Swing Centro: Every Thursday, the grand ballroom of Centro Asturiano brings swing dancing alive in vintage surroundings with lessons and a dance for daddios to shake that crazy groove thing. First, there's lessons from 7 to 8 p.m. and no partner is needed. Then it turns into a dance from 8 p.m. to midnight. Many people come decked out in vintage threads from the '20s to the '50s. Just Listen: The Alley Cat Players will read excerpts from Sarah Dressen's novel Just Listen, which created controversy after it was challenged in Hillsborough County schools for its depiction of rape, underage drinking and eating disorders.
