Todays Letters: Only denturist will do for her

Dentist vs. denturist debate Dec. 24, story
So far, at 70 years old, my teeth are good. But if and when I need dentures, I want them made by a denturist. Why would I want a mold made and sent away, perhaps to a foreign country, when a denturist would make them onsite and would make any corrections needed to ensure a perfect, comfortable fit?
I will go to a denturist even if I have to travel to a different state.
I do hope Leonard Condon will be allowed to work in Brooksville. His training in Canada is valid.
Who trains the people who make dentures when they are "outsourced" by dentists?
I expect, if ever needed, for the dentist who pulls my teeth to refer me to a denturist, unless the dentist makes dentures himself and is able to make any needed adjustments.
My parents and grandparents all had dentures, made locally and expected them to fit and be comfortable. Fit and comfort are the key words, unless we are willing to suffer the way our first president did with his wooden ones.

They call this tax relief? 65 cents a day is an insult Dec. 26, guest column
Something better than nothing
The headline above the guest column written by Tom Woods should have read "I'm going to cut off my nose to spite my face and vote no on the tax plan."
No thanks, Mr. Woods. I'm voting "Yes" and take something that is better than nothing.
Frederick E. Tornillo, Spring Hill

As long as you are ok with only having a "something" that will stay that way, THEN dealing with the same issue a few years from now. New buyers will not come here. So your value will drop. Have fun!
