The Dunedin Rotary Club awarded $2,500 to the Dunedin Fine Art Center in support of the art center's summer camps for local youth. These funds will provide scholarships for about 15 to 20 students from 4 to 14 years old.

Over the past 10 years, the club has donated more than $290,000 to a variety of local organizations, including scholarships for students attending Dunedin High School and the Rotary Centennial Nature Center at Honeymoon Island, Dunedin.

For information, call Carole Ketterhagen at (727) 738-1262.

Dunedin's Masonic Lodge 192, at 1297 Michigan Blvd., and a part of the Dunedin landscape since 1916, actively supported the community in 2007 by donating more than $1,000 in gift certificates to help needy kids and families over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

The certificates were presented to Dunedin Elementary School principal Kathy Brickley to distribute throughout the school.

The lodge has been a longtime supporter of Little League in Dunedin, and earlier this year sponsored a classroom at Dunedin Elementary as part of the fraternity's "Adopt-a-Class" program.

The Dunedin Masons also recently opened their facility to the Meals on Wheels program and Neighborly Care Network.
