Talent show to celebrate Kwanzaa

Kwanzaa will be celebrated with a Talent Extravaganza at 3 p.m. Monday at the American Legion Hall, 37745 Church St., Dade City. Sponsored by the African American Heritage Society of East Pasco County this celebration is free. Call (352) 567-0441.
Basketball camp begins Wednesday
The Wesley Chapel High School will host a basketball camp over the winter break from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from Wednesday through Friday for boys and girls in grades 6 through 8 at the school at 30651 Wells Road. Cost is $50. Call Warren Jones at (813) 794-8700.
Three-day winter camp loaded with fun
The Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department and the Land O'Lakes Recreation Complex will have a Winter Fun Camp for children 6 to 12 years old from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. The camp is at the recreation complex, 3032 Collier Parkway in Land O'Lakes and the cost is $25 per child. Call (813) 929-1220.
General chamber meeting set for Jan. 9
The general membership meeting of the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Jan. 9 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 20735 Leonard Road, Lutz. Kathryn Gillette of Community Hospital will speak on the future project at the Medical Center of Trinity. Cost is $10 with a reservation, or $13 at the door. Call (813) 909-2722.
Knights offer bingo, New Year's Eve dance
The Knights of Columbus Chapter 6476, 2040 Grand Blvd. in Holiday offers non-smoking bingo at 11 a.m. today. There will be a dinner dance on New Year's Eve with Sound Inc. Cost is $40.
