Medicare Assistance Program: 1:30 p.m. Jan. 10.
CARES Community Aging and Retirement Services, Inc. is participating in the National Council on Aging and the Access to Benefits Coalition "My Medicare Matters Navigator Program." This is a special program to enable seniors and their families to learn more about Medicare and Medicare Part D by visiting specific, credible websites guided by trained navigators. The next session of the "My Medicare Matters Navigator" will be held Bayonet Point Enrichment Center, 12417 Clock Tower Parkway, Hudson.
This session is for anyone interested in learning more about Medicare and Medicare Part D - Medicare beneficiaries, their families, caregivers and community members. Please bring your Medicare Number, Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan Number, Medicare Advantage or Medigap Policy Number as they can help you navigate through some of the sites. However, you can still benefit from the session if you don't have your numbers.
Class size is limited and registration is required. Please call (727) 862-9291 ext. 224 to reserve your seat at a computer. Couples may share a computer. Knowledge of how to use a computer will be helpful in participating in this session.

CARES Wellness Program: Jan. 10 at 3 p.m.
Have fun, meet new friends and improve your quality of life. Join the CARES "Eat Better and Move More" Program. This free program will be conducted each week for 12 weeks in the Rao Musunuru Activity Center at the CARES Hudson Bayonet Enrichment Center, 12417 Clock Tower Parkway, Hudson. The goal is to help individuals improve their level of activity and nutrition.
Each week, a licensed dietician will explain how to eat better. To help you move more, a CARES Health and Wellness Coordinator will lead a stretching and exercise session. Each participant will receive a free step counter to help them monitor their increased activity.
