St. Petersburg Times: Audio Report
Two days after the slaying of Pasco Sheriff's Lt. Charles "Bo" Harrison, Alfredie Steele Jr., with the help of his cousin Nathaniel Vanzant, recorded an apology to Harrison's family. Vanzant didn't give the recording to Harrison's family. Instead, he gave it to his lawyer, who gave it to the authorities. The audio recording was introduced as evidence in Steele's murder trial.
