New Years Day Closings

GOVERNMENT CLOSINGS
All Federal, state, county and city offices, except police and fire departments, will be closed. Federal and state courts will be closed.
BUSES AND STREETCARS
HART and HARTplus will be closed. The TECO Line Streetcar System will operate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
SHOPPING MALLS
The following malls will be closed: International Plaza, WestShore Plaza, University Mall, Westfield Citrus Park and Westfield Brandon.
GARBAGE COLLECTION
City of Tampa commercial, residential and recycling will not pick up today. The McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scalehouse and South Manhattan Brush site will be closed.
Temple Terrace Public Works Department Offices will be closed and there will be no residential, garbage or curbside recycling. There will be no commercial garbage collection.
The Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management Department will closed. There will be no residential, garbage or curbside recycling. Those scheduled to receive pick-up today can leave twice as much trash on their next scheduled pick-up day.
UTILITIES
Verizon Customer Service and Verizon Wireless stores will be closed. Verizon Plus stores will be closed.
Tampa Electric and People's Gas offices will be closed.
POST OFFICE, MAIL DELIVERY
All post offices will be closed. There will be no mail delivery.
SCHOOLS
All Hillsborough County public schools will be closed until Jan. 8.
Hillsborough Community College,The University of Tampa and University of South Florida offices will be closed for winter break.
LIBRARIES
All public libraries will be closed.
BANKS
All banks will be closed.
ATTRACTIONS, MUSEUMS
The Tampa Museum of Art will be closed.
The Florida Aquarium will be open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Busch Gardens will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Lowry Park Zoo will be open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
RECREATION
Ben T. Davis Beach and Picnic Island Beach will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Sandra W. Freedman Tennis Complex and HCC Tennis Complex will be closed. All city pools, community centers and art studios will be closed. Hillsborough County Recreation Department: All recreation centers and playgrounds will be closed. Regional parks: All parks will be open.
