The Pinellas County School Board will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the district administration building, 301 Fourth St. SW, Largo.

The public is invited to attend. Anyone wishing to speak on either agenda or nonagenda items can do so by filling out a form at or before the meeting. Citizens may speak about any item on the agenda not involving a hearing on employee discipline by registering five minutes before the item is introduced.

The meeting will be televised at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, for two weeks following the meeting date. All broadcasts are shown on WPDS-14, which appears on Knology Ch. 14 and Bright House Networks Ch. 614.

Swing from a tree at Boyd Hill Nature Park

Pathfinder Outdoor Education will offer "Tree-MendousCanopy Tree Climbing" from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Boyd Hill Nature Park, 1101 Country Club Way S.

Participants can climb 60 feet up into a live oak tree while tethered by ropes and a harness, then swing through the air, hang out in a cargo net or go limb walking along the tree's branches. Minimum age is 6.

The cost is $10 for the first family member and $5 for each additional family member.

Vendors needed for arts and crafts show

Vendors should register by Jan. 18 to participate in the Sunsational Arts & Crafts Show at the Sunshine Center.

The show is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 15 and 16 in the Sunshine Center Shuffleboard Ballroom, 330 Fifth St. N, St. Petersburg.

A 10- by 10-foot area is $25 with a 6-foot table or $20 if the vendor provides the table.

Extra card tables can be rented for $5 each.

Items for sale must be new and hand crafted. Call 893-7622.
