PASADENA VISTA Area crime watch captains urgedto attend meeting The next meeting of the Pasadena Vista Neighborhood Association crime watch is Thursday. DOWNTOWN Proposed stadium, the Trop are meeting topics The Downtown Neighborhood Association will have its January general meeting next week. Guest speaker, Michael Kalt, senior vice president of development and business affairs for the Tampa Bay Rays, will present the Rays' plan for a proposed waterfront stadium and redevelopment of the Tropicana site. There will be a question and answer period. When: 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 10 Where: the Sunshine Center Auditorium, 330 Fifth St. N AZALEA Deputy will talk about dealing with predators The Azalea Neighborhood Association will host sheriff's Deputy Amy Zawadski at its upcoming meeting. Zawadski will discuss sexual predators and provide information on how to deal safely and effectively with this type of offender. Other agenda items include an update on neighborhood concerns and plans for 2008. Residents should note that the group is meeting at a new site. Agenda items include discussion of traffic calming measures as well as the development of a slate of candidates for several open board positions. When: 7 p.m. Jan. 10 Where: Friends' Meeting House, 130 19th Ave. SE NORTH KENWOOD Meeting features guest speaker, area concerns The North Kenwood Neighborhood Association will meet Jan. 14. Agenda items include a guest speaker and a discussion of neighborhood concerns. The group will have a drawing and refreshments. When: 7:30 p.m. Jan. 14 Where: Edward White Hospital Auditorium, 2299 Ninth Ave. N, Room 1G HISTORIC KENWOOD Group's new president to lead first gathering The first 2008 meeting of the Historic Kenwood Neighborhood Association will have new president Bob Jeffrey discussing plans for the group.
