St. Petersburg Plato's Closet's new Tyrone location had a line of young people waiting for its grand opening last week. Teens were eager to check out the "gently used" fashions that are the store's specialty, owners said. Trendy brands like Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, American Eagle, Guess, BeBe and Lucky are available at a discount at 3993 Tyrone Blvd. The store is the 20th in the state and the second for owner Karen Ragsdale, who holds another franchise in Palm Harbor. The St. Petersburg location has been paying cash for used clothes since Nov. 13 in advance of opening for sales. Plato's Closet has about 200 U.S. stores and is part of an 800-store corporate umbrella from Minneapolis-based Winmark Corp., which also includes Play It Again Sports, Once Upon A Child and Music Go Round. The St. Petersburg store's number is 343-8021.
