Army Pfc. Sterling L. Eaves has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.

During nine weeks of training, Eaves received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map-reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training covered development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to infantry crewman.

Eaves is the son of Judy Eaves of Tarpon Springs and is a 2005 graduate of Tarpon Springs High School.
