Two suspected of opening fire on three men

Two men are wanted on charges of attempted murder in connection with a Nov. 28 shooting outside Plant City. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Trallas White, 22, and Givante Shaw, 19, opened fire on three men in a vacant area at 503 Joe King Road. At least one of the men was hit and hospitalized. Detectives recovered marijuana, a gun and more than $1,000 in cash from the victim's vehicle. White is 5 feet 8 and 180 pounds; Shaw is 5 feet 6 and 158 pounds. They may be in a white Lexus sport utility vehicle or a rental car. Both are considered dangerous. Tampa teen jailed in Polk slaying

A 16-year-old Tampa resident has been charged in connection with the death of a teenager at a sweet 15 party in December. Hillsborough sheriff's deputies arrested Jonathan Homesley on Friday at his mother's home at 4943 E Hillsborough Ave., and charged him with the murder of Armando Cortez, 16, of Bartow. Cortez was killed at the Christmas Eve party after he was attacked while parking his vehicle. A group of 10 people thought he was a member of a rival gang. He died after being shot five times.

Two arrested in robbery, theft cases

One thief was said to favor Marlboro Red 100s. Investigators said the other had a habit of busting open vending machines. But both were caught Monday.

-Detectives picked up transient Robert Eugene Bowyer Jr., 43, at the Super 8 Motel at 22950 U.S. 19 N. They said he is the so-called Cigarette Robber who struck a gas station and several pharmacies.

-Pinellas sheriff's officials said they were charging Anthony D. Carvajal, 37, of 7010 N Oregon Ave., Tampa, with cutting or prying the locks off a Ms. Pac Man video game as well as from a laundry bag vending machine and stealing money from the Oldsmar Cleaners and Laundry on Tampa Road on Christmas Day.
